چکیده
Abstract Purpose With a contribution of 39% to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, reducing the environmental impacts buildings plays an undisputed role in achieving climate goals. Therefore, development projects with low carbon footprint is crucial importance. Although several active and passive solutions as well design strategies have been developed, identifying critical levers minimise GHG emissions cost future building still problem faced every day by designers. Methods Motivated this knowledge gap study, we conducted life cycle assessment (LCA) analysis (LCCA) residential situated Austria. To identify for cost, 37 scenarios three different advanced energetic standards are created. The various developed through combination construction materials, insulation materials technical equipment. In eco-efficiency (LCA LCCA), reference study period 50 years assumed. was analysed according European standard EN-15978. Results show that improving does not yield overall savings potential. additional (23%) energy efficiency measures, including thermal change equipment, higher than reduction potential operating over years. On other hand, improvement allows 25%. Conclusions ensure cost-optimal buildings, it conduct during process energy-efficient buildings. This shows how can reduce slightly increased cost.
